In furthering these goals, we are committed to providing an accessible public service that embodies the principles of justice, diversity, inclusion and cultural competency, responsiveness and safety. We are also committed to creating a safe and respectful environment for all our staff, adjudicators, stakeholders, and hearing participants.

Land Acknowledgement

The Consent and Capacity Board acknowledges that our headquarters in Toronto is located on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and that this territory is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit. The Board further acknowledges that our work takes place on traditional Indigenous territories across the province where our adjudicators, parties, and other participants live and work and that these territories are covered by 46 treaty agreements. We recognize the deep connection First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples have to the land on which we live and work and we are thankful to them for their stewardship since time immemorial and their ongoing contributions to the place we call Ontario.
